Community

St. Swithin's, the Parish Church of Holmesfield, is very much at the heart of village life. We are also part of the wider Dronfield with Holmesfield Parish, working together as a clergy team to provide the area with pastoral support and inspiring ministry, to further the kingdom of God in the Dronfield and Holmesfield area.

We have a strong connection to our local village school, Penny Acres Primary, and our thriving J-Zone (Jesus Zone) after-school club draws many of its children from there, as well as attracting others from further afield. To find out more about this group contact our children's worker Joan on 01246 412328.  As a church we also help run the local mothers and toddlers group which meets on Tuesdays in the nearby village hall. For more information contact Christine on 0114 289 1402

St. Swithins Church aims to support the local community in Holmesfield by being involved in local organisations such as Penny Acres Primary School, the Holmesfield Village Society, Flower Club, and Gardening Club. We also have strong Christian links with the smaller Cowley Mission and Vine Fellowship who join with us three times a year for joint services in church.
